The "Book Nook"

At St Joseph's, we love to read - we know that reading is the best gift that you can give any child.

Please browse our Book Nook section to see snippets of the reading environment in our school 🏫 🎒 📚❤️🌱

St Joseph's Library - A wonderful place filled with special fiction books and exquisite information books 📚

Authors - We have been lucky enough to have both Andy Seed and Catherine Barr visit us in school to share their books and love of reading as well as Debra Bertulis who helped to celebrate the wonder of poetry...

We love welcoming Karen Argent in to school from The Letterpress Project - she always comes to school with the most wonderful books to share with us ❣️📚

Book Swap Day - We just love swapping books with one another. This is always such a popular event held in school to further celebrate books!

Year 1 have loved exploring Michael Rosen's poems and performing a winter poem ❄️🗣️❤️

Making memories & growing readers - We love welcoming adults in to school to share books with their children.

We love to talk about the books that you read and share together at home, so we have a class reading journal for children to add to at home....

Every Tuesday from 3pm til 3.25pm, families are invited to borrow books from the library and to read together in the hall ❣️📚

This year, some of the children in Year 6 will be helping to judge the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize - an amazing award for brilliant science books ❣️📚🔭🧪🔬🧲

Join the Worcestershire libraries to borrow books, visit wonderful spaces and have fun with literature and activities too ❣️📚
